Yarn finds at Kid 'N Ewe and Lamas Too

On Friday I went with a friend to Kid 'N Ewe and Lamas Too. We had a great time petting all the nice fibers, yarns and Alpacas. While there we met the Knitting Fairy, picked up some lovely hand-dyed yarn from The Accidental Knitter, and snagged a lovely purple and cream color of Primero Yarn by Brooks Farm. We also talked to many dedicated spinners and more fiber lovers than you can shake a stick at. Be sure to check out the list of vendors on the Kid 'N Ewe website for more wonderful fiber and yarn suppliers.

Animal Hats class

I'm teaching a hat class at Hill Country Weavers in Austin, Texas in October. I'm excited!

Animal Hats!

Let your animal instincts out of the knitting bag and join Kathy for this great hat class just in time for cooler weather and Halloween. By the time you're done you’ll have your very own kitty hat! Plus you’ll have the knowledge needed to make hats with other animal ear types too, like a bear, dog, bat & fox. You’ll also learn how to make a skull-cap using any gauge yarn.

This is a 2-part class, Oct. 8 & 22, 1-3 pm
Fee: $40 (not including supplies)
